Richard Saville
Richard was appointed a Scrivener notary in 1982. Since then he has been in continuous practice, working particularly in banking, shipping and insurance notarial matters. He won an open exhibition to Emmanuel College, Cambridge, where he read History and Law. After graduating, he joined Cheeswrights, a firm of notaries in the City. As part of his five-year notarial training, he spent a year in notaries' offices in Paris and Rome, studying French and Italian law. He is fluent in both languages. He was a partner for ten years before founding Saville & Co. in 1994.
