Ian Campbell is a graduate in Law from Exeter University where he specialised in European and particularly German law. As part of his degree course, he spent a year ar Saarbrücken University. He is fluent in German. He underwent a five-year notarial training and spent a year abroad, studying and working with a law firm and notaries' office in Munich. Since qualifying as a Scrivener notary in 1994 he has gained extensive experience, particularly in shipping and banking aspects of notarial practice.

Ian Campbell has been a partner of Saville & Co since 1995.
